First, credentials must be made for providers wishing to enter into a contract with CareSource®. With credentials, we monitor doctors and other health practitioners’ qualifications and performance. Suppliers will be re-credentialed at least every 3 years and will, unless notified otherwise, be deemed re-credential.
Our specialist will assist you about every minor details of credentialing during the credentialing process, we will examine your educational background, career experience, certifications, and registration to practice in a healthcare sector. We will track your progress throughout the credentialing process to determine your education, training, credentials, and registration to practice in a health care setting. We will check all of your documentation to guarantee that you are certified by one of the world’s most prestigious healthcare providers. We are committed to long-term growth as a team. CareSource is an effective quality healthcare company a partnering organization (CAQH). Before you enter your CAQH number as indicated above, please ensure that we have accessibility to your provider form:
• Log on to CAQH using your account information.
• Select the Authorization tab.
• Make sure CareSource is listed as an authorized health plan.
• If not, check the Authorized box to add.
Please also include the following documents:
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and/or Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certificate
• Malpractice insurance face sheet
• Clinical Laboratory Improvement Awards (CLIA) certificate, if applicable
• Standard Care Agreement (SCA), if an advanced practice nurse
• Supervisory agreement, if a physician assistant
All paperwork must be complete and up to date, otherwise the contracting and credentialing process will be terminated by CareSource. If any of your documents are missing or expired, the Credentialing team will send you a letter with instructions on how to correct and submit the new information.
Method of Contract and Re-credentialing
CareSource certifies providers in accordance with Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) requirements (NCQA). The credentialing and re-credentialing programme is overseen by our Vice President/Senior Medical Director.
CareSource must get a complete Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) application or a CAQH number and National Provider Identifier (NPI) number from OMPP.
